Eight agencies chosen for the Live Final show at BAFTA in January
Winning agency will scoop Carers UK as a client and a £10,000 prize
£50,000 media spend from The Guardian and support from other major partners will bring the winning campaign to life for Carers UK, later on in 2024
Eight creative agencies have been chosen to take part in The Creative Shootout 2024 Live Final show on Thursday 25th January 2024, at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly London.
Now in its seventh year, the UK’s leading done-in-a-day creative awards challenged agencies from all marketing disciplines back in September to show their creative clout by entering a 60 second digital entry for the Shootout’s Charity of the Year, which this year is Carers UK.
This year’s judging panel have selected eight agencies from all 60 second entries, who will now go on to take part in the Live Final in January. On the day, they’ll have just four hours creative time on a brief they receive from Carers UK only at lunchtime. And then just eight minutes each to convince the audience and judges at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly in the evening that they have a winning campaign for the charity, which will be staged for real, later in 2024.
The eight finalist agencies selected are (in alphabetical order):
Johnny Pitt, Founder of The Creative Shootout and judge, comments: “This year’s cause of ‘caring’ is probably our most emotive, ever. It affects so many of us, even if we don’t recognise it ourselves. So we’re expecting emotional fireworks on stage at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly in January, from some of the UK’s best creative agencies.”
Helen Walker, Chief Executive of Carers UK said: “We know caring has an emotional, physical and financial impact, that’s why, however caring affects you, Carers UK is here to make life better for all carers. We are hugely grateful to The Creative Shootout, and the agencies who entered the competition, and excited to see their ideas come to life in January 2024.”
The winning agency will go on to work with Carers UK later in 2024 to bring their creative campaign to life and make real, lasting impact for the charity. They will also be awarded a £10,000 prize alongside support from a range of significant media partners, including The Guardian, to activate the campaign.
