Year six will see the winning agency gain FoodCycle as a client, supported by a £10,000 prize and a £50,000 media spend with The Guardian.
Nine creative agencies have made it through to the Live Final Show of The Creative Shootout 2023. Now in its sixth year, the UK’s leading done-in-a-day creative awards for the marketing industry will be held at Picturehouse Central in London, on Thursday 26th January 2023.
The nine finalist agencies were chosen this month by a high-profile judging panel, following a 60 second digital entry stage. The nine teams of four will now take to the main stage at Picturehouse Central in a live show format, hosted by presenter and broadcaster Scott Wimsett, where they’ll show off their creative clout for a charity that needs bold solutions.
FoodCycle, The Creative Shootout’s Charity of the Year, supports communities across the UK; feeding the hungry, providing company and warmth to the lonely, all while using food which would otherwise go to waste.
The finalist agencies will have just four hours creative prep on a brief they received earlier in the day from FoodCycle, and then have only 8 minutes each to convince the 400 strong audience and judging panel of their big idea and campaign outline for the charity.
The nine finalist agencies selected by the judges are (in alphabetical order):
Bottle - Digital PR agency
Grayling - Communications agency with a UK network
Lewis - Creative, digital and PR agency
Mischief - Consumer communications agency, part of the MHP Group
Raw - Creative and strategy agency
Red - Integrated communications agency
Frank - Creative PR agency
Stand - Integrated communications agency
Stir - Brand PR agency
The winning agency will go on to work with FoodCycle and see their campaign idea come to life later in the year, aided by a £10,000 prize fund and a £50,000 media inventory prize from the Shootout’s national media partner, The Guardian.
As Creative Shootout Founder Johnny Pitt says: “The creativity and personalisation of the entries this year was special, and perhaps more so given the year that 2022 has been. The Creative Shootout exists to showcase the extraordinary talent and thinking in our industry, while giving back each year to a cause that really matters. The Live Final Show looks set to be a blockbuster.”
The Creative Shootout is supported by the major marketing associations including The IPA, CIPR, CMA and IAB UK, along with some high-profile sponsors and partners.
