FoodCycle announced as Charity of the Year 2023

Updated: Sep 9, 2022

FoodCycle, with 54 locations across the UK, is on a mission to make food poverty, loneliness and food waste a thing of the past, for every community.

With community dining, week in, week out, they feed the hungry and give company to the lonely in communities right across the UK. And provide delicious meals and great conversation, using food which would otherwise go to waste.

With a theme on the cost of living crisis, the brief to The Creative Shootout finalist agencies on 26th January 2023 will come from the charity, with how-to-enter details being released shortly.

Comments Mary McGrath MBE and CEO of FoodCycle; “We’re absolutely buzzing to be chosen by The Creative Shootout as their Charity of the Year. We’ve never been more needed and with the help of the creative community, we hope we can propel our charity on to the national stage, and into the nation’s hearts and minds.”

Comments Johnny Pitt, Founder of The Creative Shootout; “The cost of living crisis is the biggest crisis of our time. And by providing food and company to the lonely, FoodCycle meet so many urgent societal needs, all in one. The Creative Shootout is on a mission to make them a household name and turbocharge the number of meals and conversations they provide in 2023.”

Agencies can enter The Creative Shootout from September 2022. Keep tuned for the entry process and deadlines.
