  • Six agencies chosen for the Live Final Show at BAFTA in January

Six creative agencies have been chosen to take part in The Creative Shootout 2025 Live Final on Thursday 30th January 2025, at BAFTA in London.

Now in its eighth year, the UK’s leading done in a day creative-for-good awards challenged agencies from all marketing disciplines to show their creative clout for the Shootout’s Charity of the Year, Epilepsy Action, by submitting a 60 second entry – in any format.

The judging panel has selected six agencies, who will now go on to take part in the Live Final in January. On the day, they’ll have just four hours of creative time on a brief they receive from Epilepsy Action only at lunchtime. And then just ten minutes each that evening to convince the audience and judges at BAFTA that they have a winning campaign for the charity, which will be staged for real, later on in 2025.

The six finalist agencies selected are (in alphabetical order):

Johnny Pitt, Founder of The Creative Shootout comments; “The Creative Shootout exists to showcase the extraordinary talent and thinking in our industry, all in aid of a different charity each year. We’ve an exciting mix of agencies in this year’s line-up and perhaps the most stigmatised hidden disability of them all, to grapple with.”

Rebekah Smith, Interim CEO at Epilepsy Action comments: “Time and time again we are told about the stigma and isolation that comes with an epilepsy diagnosis, and for the 630,000 people in the UK living with the condition it’s time for that to stop. We need help to get this under resourced and rarely talked about condition the profile it deserves and make a real difference to the lives of people living with epilepsy. We’ve been so impressed with the entries from our finalist agencies and can’t wait to see what they come up with on the night.”

The winning agency will go on to work with Epilepsy Action later in 2025 to bring their creative campaign to life and make real, lasting impact for the charity. They will be awarded £10,000, as well as £250,000 worth of support from a range of significant media partners, including The Guardian, Clear Channel, Acast, Markettiers, OnePoll and 72Point, to activate the campaign.

Also, brand new this year are two bespoke ‘Creativity Under Pressure’ training courses, for teams or individuals looking for some unique creative training. Built and customised for The Creative Shootout specifically, the two courses will be run by leaders in their field: Matt Follows, founder of Pressure Proof Creative, former Creative Director at W+K and a trained psychotherapist – James Hayhurst, Founder of The Magic Sauce Course and a former Unilever marketing chief – and also Sam Oliver, Creative Director at Uncommon and former Creative Head at iPhone and iPad.
