The Creative Shootout 2024 opens for entry

Back for its seventh year, The Creative Shootout 2024 is now officially open for agency entry.

With charity Carers UK recently announced as this year’s Creative Shootout Charity of the Year, any discipline UK marketing agency can enter the awards by submitting just 60 seconds of any form of digital content at www.creativeshootout.com. The entry simply needs to show why the agency has the creative clout for Carers UK.

Entry is open until close 30th November 2023, from where eight agencies will be selected by a panel of high profile judges for the Live Final Show on Thursday 25th January 2024, to be held at the newly refurbished and iconic BAFTA in Piccadilly, London.

On Live Final day in January, the eight finalist agency teams, made up of four, will receive the Carers UK brief only at lunchtime. They then have just four hours to work on their creative before pitching their campaign back in the evening, in just eight minutes each, to the judges and a live audience of hundreds.

A winning agency is crowned on the night and walks off with Carers UK as a new client, a £10,000 prize and support from a range of significant partners, including the likes of The Guardian, to bring their campaign to life later in 2024.

Carers UK provides information on accessing financial aid, emotional support and advice on caring for all unpaid carers across the UK. It also helps combat loneliness by connecting unpaid carers, and campaigns for better rights and lasting change.

The entry can be in any digital content format; video, animation, GIF, graphic, image or audio, and can include a showreel – but it must come in at 60 seconds or under. Any discipline marketing agency can enter – whether advertising, PR, direct, social, digital, events, content or other.

Johnny Pitt, Founder of The Creative Shootout comments; “Carers UK needs radical and bold solutions to highlight the plight of the 10 million unpaid carers in this country. This is a hidden but huge problem that needs urgent action, especially given the cost-of-living crisis. We’re therefore calling on the bravest and best agencies across any discipline to enter The Creative Shootout this year. Advertising, PR, social, digital, events, direct marketing and everything in between … we need you all!”

Helen Walker, Chief Executive at Carers UK comments: “At Carers UK, we support unpaid carers across the country, many of whom don’t recognise that they are carers or get the support they need for many years. This is why it’s so important that we raise awareness of the work we do and reach those that need our support. We are so excited to be this year’s Charity of the Year because we believe that this is the push we need to raise our profile and help more unpaid carers. Without it, we simply couldn’t get the reach or the opportunity to work with some of the best creative brains in the business.”
